Principle:

A commitment to Australia, her democratic institutions and legal system

Values:

Mutual respect between democratic government, its institutions and its citizens is a key ingredient in ensuring that a fair and compassionate society prevails.  Civility, courtesy, decency and inclusivity are fundamental in halting the creation of “the other” and in forging the axiom of the sanctity and dignity of life.

Principle:

A commitment to compassion

Values:

By highlighting the core value of compassion in all our programs and activities, the values of justice, caring and empathy are reinforced as fundamental to a healthy diverse community.

Principle:

A commitment to moral courage

Values:

Moral and ethical behaviour is about individuals and communities accepting responsibility for their actions.  It is about protest and resistance in the face of wrong doing and about protecting human rights.  It is about the concept of never being a bystander.

Principle:

A commitment to knowledge and education

Values:

That education through interactive and discovery learning, engages individuals and groups in critical thinking, leading to the ability to make independent judgements based on authentic and cross referenced sources of information.  This approach empowers people to develop the confidence to make ethical choices.
